Welcome to Our New Lab Members!

The Isayev Lab welcomes three new researchers for Fall 2024

Announcement

Welcome to Our New Lab Members!

We’re excited to welcome three talented new members to the Isayev Lab this fall!

New Team Members

Dr. Jane Smith joins us as a postdoctoral researcher. Jane completed her PhD at UC Berkeley, where she worked on developing equivariant neural networks for molecular property prediction. She will be leading our efforts on next-generation neural network potentials.

Michael Chen begins his PhD studies in Chemistry at CMU. Michael graduated from CMU with a double major in Chemistry and Computer Science. His research will focus on machine learning for drug discovery and reaction prediction.

Sarah Johnson is joining us as an undergraduate researcher for her senior honors thesis. Sarah will be working on interpretable machine learning models for molecular solubility prediction.

Lab Growth

With these additions, our lab now includes:

  • 1 Principal Investigator
  • 3 Postdoctoral Researchers
  • 5 PhD Students
  • 2 Undergraduate Researchers

What’s Next

Our new members will be diving into exciting projects at the intersection of AI and chemistry. Stay tuned for updates on their research progress!

Welcome to the team! We’re excited to see what we’ll accomplish together.
